Frankie Boyle’s first ever live DVD is now available to buy. If you haven’t heard of Frankie Boyle, he is the star of BBC2’s Mock The Week, and one of the funniest comedians around at the moment.

His humour is probably not for everyone because it is very near-the-knuckle and refreshingly un-PC, and sometimes I think he goes a little too far on Mock The Week, but for the most part he is absolutely hilarious.

The Frankie Boyle Live DVD, available to over 18s only, features a performance from his recent stand-up tour and promises to deliver all the cutting one-liners and razor-sharp wit that we are all so used to seeing from him on Mock The Week. At 61 minutes long, it’s not the longest stand-up performance you will ever see, and some people have moaned that some of the material is the same as he used on Mock The Week, but I think in many ways that’s almost inevitable if you’re on the TV as often as he is.

Overall I would still recommend you buy this DVD because Frankie Boyle is quite simply one of the funniest stand-up acts on the circuit, and is sure to become a household name in the coming years.
