Band of Brothers is an epic TV series that stands the test of time as one of the best TV series ever made. This World War II drama follows a group of US airborne soldiers from graduation right through to the end of the war, 10 episodes later.

It is beautifully filmed, equally as good as any Hollywood war film, and really captures the grim realities and horrors of life as a US soldier in the heat of battle. It really is an excellent series and Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks did a great job as co-producers of the series.

The DVD box set of the Band of Brothers is just as good as the series itself. It is beautifully packaged and includes some brilliant extra features. These include a documentary entitled ‘We Stand Alone Together” which tells the story of the real-life heroes of Easy Company, and an interesting documentary that shows you how the film was made and how they created the impressive special effects.
