Blue Planet was an extraordinary series of nature documentaries that originally aired on BBC1 a few years ago now. Narrated by David Attenborough it offered a fascinating insight into the world’s oceans and was a really interesting and enjoyable series.
It’s hard to describe Blue Planet in words because the program was just simply outstanding in every single department. The photography was stunning, the commentary and scientific information provided was fascinating, and the way it was put together was just perfect. It was the result of five years filming and research and so you would expect a really insightful series of documentaries, and that is exactly what you get.
The Blue Planet DVD box set is one of those DVDs that you really must own if you are interested in nature, and in particular the natural world that exists in our seas and oceans. There are eight episodes in all for you to enjoy, each offering a unique glimpse into underwater life, from whales and sharks to the very smallest creatures that occupy our seas.
