The British Transport Films Collection On DVD

Railway enthusiasts are going to love this DVD collection because it’s the entire British Transport Films Collection and includes all nine volumes of the British Transport Films series. The British Transport Commission produced this series themselves, and filmed over several decades it provides an excellent insight into how the locomotive evolved over the years and how the landscape of Britain changed during this time as well.

The individual series are available to buy separately but this is the first time that they are being sold together as a box set. As I say you basically get every single series that was made between 1949 and 1982 in this huge 18-disc set totalling nearly 38 hours. So that means that the following volumes are all included in this comprehensive collection:

- On And Off The Rails
- See Britain By Train
- Running A Railway
- Reshaping British Rail
- Off The Beaten Track
- The Art Of Travel
- The Age Of The Train
- Points And Aspects
- Just The Ticket

It’s quite simply a superb collection of rail documentaries and will give you many hours of enjoyment if you are a keen railway historian:
