The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is a Japanese animated movie targeted towards teenagers and older children all about a teenage high-school girl who finds that she can go back in time after a near-death accident.

The story begins by showing the girl doing all the obvious things you would expect someone to do who travels back in time such as getting perfect exam results, but she soon develops a conscience when she sees the effects her actions are having on other people.

The film itself has received a number of awards with it’s intelligent thought-provoking themes and the excitement of the time-travel element, and it is said to be suitable for audiences all around the world and not just Japanese audiences.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time DVD has just been made available here in the UK, even though it was made a few years ago, so it can now be enjoyed by a completely new audience.
