Man On Wire is an incredible documentary that tells the story of an astonishing high-wire stunt that took place in 1974 between the two towers of the World Trade Center by French high-wire walker Philippe Petit.

This real-life incident is shown in all it’s glory in this brand new film, but we also get to see all of the build up to this momentous stunt including footage of some of Petit’s previous endeavours which took place in Paris and Sydney.

What makes this life or death stunt even more remarkable is the fact that is was completely illegal and no permission had been granted by the relevant authorities in New York. It’s a fascinating story and we get to learn all about how Petit and his team planned this stunt without getting caught in this Man On Wire DVD.

Technically Man On Wire is a documentary but it is actually more of a thriller because we become immersed in all the build up to the big event including how they were going to do it without getting caught, and how Petit was physically going to cross the wire without falling to his death.
