Cass DVD
The Cass DVD has just been released today and I can strongly recommend you watch it. Cass is a great British movie that tells the true life story of Cass Pennant, who was one of the most infamous football hooligans in the country, as he quickly rose through the ranks of the West Ham hooligan outfit.
Cass was a black kid who was adopted by a white London couple in the 1950s and after struggling to fit in he just wanted to be accepted, and this in part led him into joining the hooligan element of West Ham supporters. As I say he quickly became accepted as one of them and became one of the most respected and most feared members of the group.
What makes the story of Cass so appealing is the fact that he successfully managed to turn his life around later on in life and he became the owner of a security firm and then became a successful author.
I’m not generally a fan of films that glorify football hooliganism but at least this film has a happy ending because Cass Pennant actually manages to leave all that behind him. Plus it also shows the darker side of hooliganism at various points throughout the movie as we see how football hooliganism changes throughout the decades in modern Britain.
Overall I thought it was a very good movie. If you want to find out more about the Cass DVD you can do so by clicking on the following link:
