Outnumbered has become quite a popular BBC sitcom because it is one that both parents and children can enjoy. It is currently in it’s second series but if you missed the first series or want to watch it again, you can now do so thanks to this Outnumbered Series 1 DVD.

Written by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, Outnumbered is a traditional family sitcom but it is very much a modern sitcom in that there are lots of improvised dialogue, both from the adults and the children, which gives the show an added dimension.

The show centres on everyday family life with Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner playing the two parents, but it is the three children who really steal the show. Their one-liners, whether scripted or improvised, are extremely funny and the acting is superb from children so young.
