Railway Walks With Julia Bradbury was a top quality program that was originally shown on BBC4 last year. There were six half-hour episodes in total and they featured some of the most beautiful and picturesque railway walks in Britain.

It’s sad in a way because all of the railway lines featured are no longer in use, but because of this fact they do make for excellent walks if you follow these old railway lines. It’s also really interesting because you get to see what’s happened to some of the old railways and railway buildings along each walk, and how the railway closures have affected the local community thanks to insights from local historians.

Anyway if you enjoyed this series, like me, and want to watch it again, you can now do so thanks to this Railway Walks With Julia Bradbury DVD. This DVD features all six of these programs, with each one featuring a separate walk from around the country:
