Whitechapel DVD
Whitechapel is a three-part series that is currently being shown on ITV1 on Monday nights. However if you missed this series or if you want to buy the DVD of this series, you can now do so because the Whitechapel DVD has just been released today.
Whitechapel is a detective series set in the modern day but the murders that take place in London’s East End are remarkably similar to those carried out by the infamous murderer Jack the Ripper in the 19th century. It is left to DI Chandler, who is one of the new breed of young and ambitious police detectives played by Rupert Penry-Jones, and the more experienced but stuck in his ways DS Miles, played by Phil Davies, to solve the murders.
However it is only after they enlist the help of an expert who has studied the murders of Jack the Ripper in great detail, that they finally start to solve the murder and track down the killer.
I’m not usually a fan of ITV dramas, or indeed ITV programs in general, but Whitechapel is certainly one of the better dramas that they have made in recent years.
