If you watched this series on BBC2 recently you will be pleased to know that the Victorian Farm DVD is now on sale. This DVD features all six one-hour episodes from this excellent documentary series.

Victorian Farm took us back to the Victorian age as we got to see a team of historians go back in time and see how people actually lived. This team of experts had to actually live like Victorians themselves. They lived in an authentic house (and farm) from that particular period and were given the same types of jobs to do that the the people who lived there would have had to do at the time. It really was fascinating viewing, and far better than the boring history lessons you had at school.

This was basically a reality show for people with half a brain. There is no acting up to the cameras or pointless arguments. It’s just a top quality historical-themed show that takes you right back to the Victorian age. Indeed it actually makes you think about how easy our everyday lives are now compared to back then when the daily routine involved an awful lot of hard labour.
